Wind Energy

The domestic wind energy industry is growing rapidly and poised for even more growth. It currently supports over 60GW of installed generating capacity and 75,000 U.S. jobs, and the DOE has identified in its recent Wind Vision report that wind power could provide 20 percent of U.S. electricity by 2030.

The U.S. Department of Energy is focusing on providing vouchers for small businesses that support the development of tools or products that can help to address significant deployment challenges for wind energy (e.g., environmental, permitting, infrastructure, and other human-use considerations) which must be taken into account to enable and significantly expand wind deployment.
